Welcome to the Granby Rovers Soccer Club!
 

The Granby Rovers Soccer Club is a travel soccer program offering a higher level of play than recreation soccer, with the goals of:
 
Facilitating individual skill development
Fostering a passion for the game of soccer
Developing as many capable players as possible for the

Granby High School soccer program

UCONN MEN'S SOCCER CLINIC SUCCESSFUL!

FREE UCONN MEN'S SOCCER CLINIC
hosted by the Granby Rovers

 
 
Saturday, May 18, 2013 at 9:00 AM over 30 local soccer players from age 6 - 13 gathered at the Rovers Soccer Fields, Salmon Brook Park to take part in the second part of a free soccer clinic coordinated by coaches and players from the national powerhouse UConn Men's Soccer Team.

Known for their possession-oriented style of play, the UConn Huskies focused on developing players' ball handling skills. The Rovers hosted this free clinic open to all boys and girls ages 6 - 13 on May 11th as well with much success. At the end of the training session, the UConn coaches and players were pleased to meet with players and sign autographs.

"Building a Creative Passer"

The Rovers conducted a special coaching education session with CJSA Director of Coaching Shaun Bailey in Granby,  Friday, April 26th  from 5:30 – 7:15PM at the Rovers Fields.  This session - Building a Creative Passer - was for all Rovers coaches – head and assistant coaches – and covered a range of passing activities for use with all teams and was conducted with a progressive training session format.  Rovers teams assisted in demonstrating key coaching points.

This coaching education session wasoffered at no cost to coaches. Many thanks to Coaching Director Rick Orluk for coordinating this event!

UConn Men's Soccer Day at Curtiss Park

Over 40 players of various ages joined together to enjoy an enriching soccer opportunitySaturday, April 13th in Simsbury. The Simsbury Soccer Club hosted a UConn Men's Soccer Day at Curtiss Park - - the day started with a clinic coordinated and led by the UConn Men's team at 11:00, followed by a match against Stony Brook University at 1:00 pm.  After the match players met with the fans to sign autographs
